The rooms open with a mechanical key. At the start of Shabbat the magnetic locks on the buildings are released, so there is nothing to operate to come and go. The corridor lights are switched to stay on and remain lit until Shabbat is out; inside the room the guest decides. There is no lift — the château has two floors and the annexe buildings one. Water urns stand at breakfast and at the château bar, the kitchen cooks for Shabbat in advance and hotplates are set out, and the Shabbat table has challot, kemias and dishes such as couscous and tajine; a small bottle of wine comes with the kiddush cup. A map of the eruv is given to guests.
